LHD is a full-service interior design build firm based in Toronto. With our client at the heart of the project, we implement a four-phase approach to ensure that the finished design truly reflects your needs, wants and vision.
Phase 1
Design Drawings and Permit Packages
The first phase of our process is all about functionality. We’ll work together to customize your space to fit your lifestyle perfectly. Our team will create detailed design drawings, complete with floor plans and furniture layouts, to make sure everything fits just right. We will also present high-level design features in key areas using a concept board to ensure the mood of the home matches your vision. Should it be necessary, our team will bring in all the specialists needed to make sure your permit package is ready and approved by the city.
Phase 2
Elevations, Finishes, and Furnishings
Based on the approved concepts, we will move on to selecting finishes and furnishings for the space. This includes selecting materials for flooring, colour schemes, millwork designs, as well as furniture, lighting and accessories. All elements will be presented for approval with finished floor plans and elevations. Next, we review and sign off on the budget so our team can purchase all of the approved goods on your behalf.
Phase 3
Implementation, Construction, and Installation
In this phase, our firm will work with our network of trusted subcontractors and professionals to bring the design to life. This includes overseeing the construction process, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring that the design intent is being realized. We oversee the installation of all finishes, furnishings, and accessories down to the last throw-pillow.
Phase 4
Quality Assurance
As we reach the end of construction, our team works together to make any needed adjustments or corrections. We employ an intensive quality assurance process to ensure the finished work meets high-quality standards.

Step 1
Book your consultation
Each design package begins with a 1-hour client consultation. The process starts once you email us to book your appointment!
Step 2
Client Intake
Prior to your Consultation Call, we will send you our ‘Client Questionnaire’ where you can provide us with some preliminary information about the scope of your project, pictures, budget, and style preferences.
Step 3
Discovery Call
At LHD our clients come first. From the start of your session, we will be guiding you through the discovery process to help determine the best function for your space, help to set a budget, and determine the style setting in your home.
Step 4
Measurements
Once your project has started, we will need accurate measurements to design your space. This will be completed by the Client.
There are several options for completing this task which we will guide you through.
Step 5
Let us Work our Magic
We will prepare your design plan in 1-2 weeks from when we receive all your info. We want to ensure you are 100% happy with your design so we try to be as thorough as possible during our consultation together.
